PPV symptoms
on immature plums, indicated by the red ring spots (arrow), will
occur before fruit begins to color. Surface of fruit may become
irregular even before fruit ripens. Mature, healthy fruit will eventually
have a reddish cheek.

Green and yellow
mottling on flesh of immature plums, with no deformation of fruit,
